Adding organizations

Incidents are associated with contacts. If an incident also has an organization association, it is because the incident’s primary contact is associated with an organization. The Organization tab lets you view the name and ID of the organization associated with the incident’s primary contact, and you can edit the address, login, password, and state for the organization. But if you want to change the organization associated with an incident, you will have to edit the con­tact record.

To edit an organization associated with an incident:

The Organization Name and Organization ID fields are read only.

To enter an address, click the drop-down arrow to the left of the field, select the type of address, and click Edit in the field to open a window for entering the organization’s address. Type the address in the fields on the window.

To change the organization’s state, click the drop-down menu and select an option.

To view the organization’s contacts, click the Contacts for Org tab. You can also add, open, copy, delete, print, and assign contacts on this tab; for information about working with contacts, refer to Contacts.
