As a follow up to my post on add-in tab focus events, I thought I’d show how we can use add-ins in the November CX 2010 release to close editor tabs in the agent desktop. This new capability allows you to programmatically close open editors such as reports, contacts, incidents or other editors in the agent desktop. If you have not watched and completed the add-in tab focus event tutorial video you may want to do that before watching this video.

I have a strange issue when trying the example. When opening a report from the navigation pane, it will close/focus as expected, but can’t be opened again with double clicking on the report after closing it with the button. It will open again when you select “Open in new tab” with the right mouse click. This doesn’t happen when opening normal editors. Any ideas ? Bug ?
Hi Dietrik, thanks for the input. I verified that when added to the navigation pane you cannot reopen. I have contacted our development organization about this, thanks for the heads up!
