I just returned from our 2010 Developer Conference in Big Sky, Montana. I thought I’d have time to blog during the conference but it turned out there was so much exciting stuff happening I couldn’t pull myself away to blog! For everyone in attendance, I hope you had as much fun and found the conference as successful as I did. I know I heard from a number of you and you were leaving the conference feeling it had been tremendously insightful and beneficial. If you were unable to attend let me quickly touch on the highlights.
We had somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 developers in attendance at beautiful Big Sky, Montana. The conference kicked off with our announcement of the RightNow CX Cloud Platform from our CEO Greg Gianforte and CTO Mike Myer. Following the CX Cloud Platform announcement we broke out into three primary session tracks which focused on desktop integration, Customer Portal and Connect Web Services for SOAP. In addition, attendees were given a sneak peak at some exciting new features/APIs that are in the works as well as four guest presentations from various partners and customers of RightNow. All together we hosted 24 individual breakout sessions.
In addition to hosting the breakout sessions, we also had an “Ask The Experts” lab running during the entire developer conference. Attendees of the conference could either schedule a time or just drop by to speak with an expert. During the two days of the conference we held over 20 ask the expert sessions, each resulting in numerous questions being answered by our expert development engineers and product managers.
Of course we can’t forget the evening events, we had a welcoming reception, a live band and BBQ and of course the ever so popular casino night!
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who took the time to travel and attend the conference. I look forward to seeing you all next year! If you were unable to make it this year be sure to plan for next year, it is an event you do not want to miss two years in a row!
Also, check back here as we will soon be posting the breakout session material!
Thanks!

The conference was excellent. I learned a lot about upcoming features as well as how to implement said features. It was certainly worthwhile and I feel our time was well spent. I wanted to give a big thank you to Chris and the entire RightNow team that put a lot of effort into planing this conference. Well done, folks!

[And yes- we were able to make it over to Yellowstone, this time around checking out the southwest corner- Old Faithful and a handful of other thermal features along the way. We also stopped at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in W. Yellowstone- a big hit for sure!]
Will there be a 2011 Developer’s Conference? Do you think it will roughly be about the same time as in 2010?
Yes, we are planning a 2011 developers conference. We are looking at the week of June 7th in Big Sky, MT. There is a post on our Connect forums with some information as well: 2011 Developer Conference
