Today during the Summit ’09 General Session David Vap spoke about the enhancements to the RightNow Connect Add-In Framework. I felt it would be worth discussing the new features that were delivered in August ’09.
First, we now allow you to see all the active and inactive add-ins that are executing on your site. To view the list of add-ins you must navigate to the ‘RightNow CRM Options’ through the application menu and select the ‘Add-Ins’ item from the navigation menu.
The second enhancement we added was to make navigation section add-ins enabled by default. Previously navigation section add-ins had to be enabled at an agent level through the ‘RightNow CRM Options’ menu. Navigation section add-ins are now enabled by default and can be disabled by the agent.
The final notable features that were added in the release were access to Standard Text and the ability to programmatically resize extension bar add-ins.
