Alan hails from Down Under (Sydney, Australia) and has spent time in London and Atlanta. He traded big city life to raise his family in Bozeman where he lives near the entrance to a national forest.

Experience

Leads RightNow’s legal, risk management, corporate services, and human resource initiatives.

Prior to joining RightNow in 2000, Alan was the senior vice president, legal and administration for Powerhouse Technologies and senior vice-president and general counsel of Anchor Gaming (NASDAQ:SLOT) after Anchor's acquisition of Powerhouse.

From 1994 to 1998, Alan was an Australian-based partner in Phillips Fox Lawyers, one of the largest law firms in the Asia Pacific basin, where he specialized in technology and health care clients.

Alan is a member of the Oregon State Bar, as well as the New South Wales and Victoria Bar in Australia.

Not your average lawyer, Alan’s career started at the Monash University Centre for Human Bioethics studying legal and ethical issues related to medical technology; he was also the general manager of the State Intellectual Disability Services in Victoria, Australia.

When not at corporate headquarters, Alan is enjoying all the outdoor fun Montana has to offer. Avid skiers and hikers, Alan and his family can often be found on some of Montana’s most famous mountains. Music is also a large part of Alan’s life; he plays piano every day.
